I went solo, with only very basic spanish. And I have to tell you that it was great: I was meeting new people every single day, Vinales and Trinidad were full of tourists from Europe, Havana was more difficult but it also had some people to socialize with outside of jineteros.

And they were all really, really good. When I went to some club to dance salsa, I was surrounded by girls wanting sex for money, just money, or to buy them drinks. It was kind of sad, but also a different experience. And now it's really difficult to adjust to cold temperatures in Germany: D And to the lack of spanish music.
