My wife and I are considering coming to Sunny Beach Resort in september, but we are concerned about some stories friends of ours have told us. Apparently Bulgaria is trying to clean up its act, and the bears are supposed to be in a sactuary in the mountain regions of Bulgaria. As for the prossies, that was a question I asked in holiday truths and you can see all the replies to this undrer working ladies of the night. It has calmed me regarding this and I 'm now looking forward to Sunny Beach on the 17th September flying from Glasgow.
I have just done 14 days in August I walked the promenade every day and the snakes come out for photos every night, but no bears. As for the 'other' I saw no activity whatsoever although I was offered a lady by a taxi-driver on my first day of my holiday.
Nobody in my hotel complained about these activities either. Me and my partner have just come back from sunny beach and we never saw any bears being used by street performers. I also never saw on prostitutes. They might be there but I think you would have to look for them because I was never approached. Its a really nice place and you will have fun. Be advised the season is now comming to an end so a lot of the shops and bars will be closing and the weather can get cold.
